Winning Mega Millions
I read in a national newspaper that you're 750 times more likely to be struck by lightening than to win the lottery jackpot. I'm not convinced. See, aside from rollovers, people all over the globe win lottery jackpots every week.
Now, maybe I'm being a little naive, or maybe its just not a phenomenon we have alot in England but how many people, judging by this statistic get struck by lightening every year? (The lottery to weeks-per-year to direct-hit-by-lightening ratio must be dramatic). I'm putting in a modest guess of 780,000 people per year. Thats more than two thousand people a day. You'd think you'd meet more of them... maybe you do- it would certainly explain modern hairstyles.
